Mając zaświadczenie o ukończeniu kursu teoretycznego i przejściu badań lotniczych można już zostać uczniem pilotem. Wystarczy wybrać szkołę, zapisać się i poczekać ok. 2 dni , aż ULC przyjmie do wiadomości, ze zamierzamy latać. Z tego wszystkiego najtrudniejszy jest wybór ośrodka i właśnie temu tematowi chciałbym poświęcić ten wpis.
Podobnie jak w przypadku teorii FTO w Warszawie jest pod dostatkiem. Mają różną ofertę, różne samoloty, instruktorów, lokalizację. Jak wybrać ten najlepszy? Jest to pójście na kompromis, pomiędzy ceną, sprzętem oraz instruktorami i lokalizacją.
W Runway cena zaczyna się od ok. 28 tysięcy za trening na Cessnie 152 do ponad 35 tysięcy za loty na prawie świeżej Cessnie 172. Szkoła mieści się na Warszawskich Babicach, miejscu dobrze skomunikowanym z resztą miasta. O instruktorach panuje dobra opinia. Cenna jednak może trochę odstraszać, mimo że wliczone są w nią opłaty za lądowania na innych lotniskach.
Ad Astra to druga szkoła na Babicach. Tu cenny są trochę niższe i szkolenie można zrobić już od 26 tysięcy, latając na świeżej Katanie (DA-20) i wylatując 5 godzin na symulatorze. W cenę nie są wliczone opłaty, za lądowania na obcych lotniskach. Opinie o instruktorach są podzielone i niektórzy zarzucają im brak doświadczenia. Innym aspektem, często odstraszającym, są pogłoski o wojnie z Urzędem Lotnictwa i problemami z certyfikacją.
Ibex to szkoła ciesząca się złą sławą. Dziwna atmosfera panująca w szkole i opryskliwy szef, który sprawia wrażenie, jakby wielką przykrością było udzielanie informacji o ośrodku. Ze szkołą nie miałem większego doświadczenia, bo już po 5 minutach w biurze wiedziałem, że szkolić się tam nie będę.
Silvair. Szkoła, którą wybrałem. Na pierwszy rzut oka, to kompromis między ceną, a jakością. Wraz z 4 innymi uczestnikami kursu teoretycznego skorzystaliśmy z bardzo ciekawej oferty. Dla grupy pięciu osób szkoła przygotowała duży rabat. Latamy na samolotach Cessna 150 i 152. Lotnisko mieści się w Sobieniach, ok. 40 km od Warszawy. Jest to lotnisko z dużym hangarem, całym zapleczem socjalnym (kuchnia, prysznice, miejsce do odpoczynku) oraz trawiastym pasem startowym. Dla pasjonatów tuż obok pole golfowe. Duża flota i nigdy nie ma problemu z samolotami. Do tego doświadczona kadra i super obsługa techniczna. Synaptyczni ludzie, którym zależy, żebyś czuł się w szkole dobrze, a latanie było prawdziwą frajdą. Generalnie jestem bardzo zadowolony i serdecznie polecam. Dla niektórych odstraszająca może być lokalizacja, ale ma ona swoje plusy. Mamy dużo mniejszy krąg niż na Babicach, a do strefy też jest całkiem blisko. Do tego wykłady uzupełniające naszą wiedzę teoretyczną i zawody w lądowaniu precyzyjnym.
